I have wondered this myself, but I don't think you do. I've decided not to since they have contracts with our wedding date on it.

There is no need to. They are there to provide a service, not as an invited guest.

I'm not doing this. I know I'm on their calendar and I know they'll be there if they want the rest of their money lol definitely send them thank you cards though!

We didn't send ours as invite since we signed the contract with the date, time, and location.

I dint think they need an official invitation as they will be there regardless but I would count them as guests so you have food and drink for them. They should definitely get thank you cards though.

They should already know all the important details if you've hired them so no to the invites.
    Definitely give them thank yous!

Absolutely not. You are not inviting them to the wedding, they are not guests. You are paying them for their services. You have a contract with them to arrive at a certain time. If your photographer is taking photos of the invitation suite they will ask for a copy.

No in general, except our venue/catering coordinator actually asked for an invitation since she will be making up the menus for our reception and she is going to match the style/font of our menus to the invitations, which I thought was super neat! But in general no, you don’t need to send them an invitation.

I didn't send invitations to vendors, but I brought an invitation and save the date to the wedding for our photographer to photograph. She said we could either mail them or bring them so she could take detail shots with them.

Of course not. They are hired vendors....not guests.
