Send-off ideas?!

I love seeing what others are doing for a send off since we won’t be able to have one

How fun! I've been thinking about glow sticks as an alternative. Are you giving one to each person? I saw one wedding where they gave out the glow sticks during the dance and then were used also for the send-off...that might be fun too. Thanks!

Oh I'm sorry! I was on the fence about having one...I've actually only been to one wedding that had a formal send-off, or at least one that I saw.

View Quoted Comment Yeah we have to clean up after. Our venue does not do setup or break down and I don’t feel comfortable asking other people to stay behind and do it for us. But it does give us the opportunity to then properly say goodbye to everyone so that’ll be nice at least

That's totally understandable. And truthfully, our send-off is kind of silly because we're staying the night there (our reception is in a hotel ballroom) so we're just going to circle the parking lot after our "exit" and go back inside...lol! Luckily our venue does do set up and break down, because yeah otherwise I'd probably be going the same route of skipping it.

We are doing a ribbon wand sendoff after our wedding ceremony, instead of at the end of the night (as not everyone will be attending the reception, and we likely will be the last to leave it).

View Quoted Comment We plan on having the attached sign by a basket of the wands (and/or our ushers, if we have any, pass them out and mention it) and our officiant will make an announcement right before our exit. And, if it doesn’t work out, any immediate family that sticks around for photos afterwards, can help us recreate it.

I made this sign ! Just have to get some long sparklers to put in the bucket!

View Quoted Comment I got the 3 feet sparklers and now I’m on the hunt for a bucket that’s tall enough to hold them… I didn’t realize how long they were until they arrived. I picked them because of the longer burn time which will be great for pics, but they’re really long. How long are yours?

I was able to find some 20" sparklers online and ordered them last week, yay!! I also ordered 2 galvanized buckets from Amazon. My day-of coordinator said the buckets would work for our sparklers.
