I bought a wedding dress!! However, I don't love it and I want to keep shopping. I am dying for a lace dress, but I bought a non lace dress at David's Bridal. (REALLY wish I could upload the photo ) Here is the link:...

I bought a wedding dress!! However, I don't love it and I want to keep shopping. I am dying for a lace dress, but I bought a non lace dress at David's Bridal. (REALLY wish I could upload the photo Smiley sad) Here is the link: http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Taffeta-Scoop-Neck-Ruched-Bridal-Gown-with-Tiering-PK3472_Bridal-Gowns-Shop-By-Silhouette-Mermaid-Trumpet

They ordered the dress for me and are supposed to call when it's in. I know I can't return it, but does anyone know if David's Bridal will exchange it or give in store credit?

Otherwise, who has any luck with selling a dress online? What's the best route? It will be brand new and never worn so I feel like this is in my favor.

Last option would be to buy a reception dress that is lace and maybe more comfortable to be in the for the rest of the night. Thinking about Nicole Miller's Jessica cake cutting dress. http://www.nicolemiller.com/jessica-cake-dress This dress the one I already bought would be at my budget.

@jenna Well, the dress you bought is beautiful!! I don't think it would look good on my body. That may be my problem, the dresses I'm liking are just not the ones for my body. I'm not sure. I think I was just wanting someone to say that it's okay to keep trying. I'm not crying over my dress, so I don't have absolute buyer's remorse. Actually, after this thread and looking at it more, I'm starting to see why I bought it.

My friend said she would go try on a few with me this weekend.

I really hope the picture uploader starts working soon! It's gonna PIC POST galore when it does, I can't wait.

Ahh!! It's pretty... i tried a similar one on at DB, but it had a beaded top. I adore tulle ballgowns! I have a little too much junk in my trunk for them tho. They make me look much larger than what I am.

I did the same thing! I bought a non-lace dress at David's Bridal, went home and had second thoughts. When the dress came in, I asked if I could try on other dresses and exchange it if I wanted. They were totally okay with it -- I think it probably happens a lot. I went in, tried on the dress I ordered and a lace one, decided I liked the lace one better and went with it. They even took back the sash I got for the first dress. It was super easy! Don't stress. Smiley smile

They exchanged for me, twice! As long as you are within 90 days, they are pretty willing to work with you, but pro-tip: never call them, they will tell you no. Just go into the store with your dress and ask for a manager.

@Alison and @Sunshine do you mind sharing your exchanged dresses and your final decision dresses?? Smiley smile Smiley smile

Thanks for that advice @Sunshine. I was pretty sure that they would at least have no problem with in store exchanges.

Now that I can add pics... Let me know what y'all think ladies... (I'm not offended by honesty and I was crying that's why I look the way I do).

That dress looks great on you and is very flattering! I personally like that better than the short lace dress. The lace dress is pretty, but it's awfully expensive for a short dress and does not look "wedding" enough.

I think your current dress is beautiful. I wouldn't start shopping again just because it's not what you imagined. I wanted a white mermaid lace dress and fell in love with an a-line champagne dress with a lace overlay. I think most people pick what they don't expect. If you don't love it, though, that's different.

Kari that is sooooo beautiful on you. Love it even more than the model pic!

But figure out your options as far as returning and go from there. You're the one who has to love it.
