For all you self-planning brides, what were some of the things you loved when it came to planning your wedding and what were some of the biggest headaches?

For me, I absolutely loved doing the research and going around to find our venue. After going to a couple it really solidified that I wanted a space that allowed for an outdoor ceremony but had space inside in case of rain.

For headaches, I'm dealing with it right now with vendors. I've contacted so many caterers and hotels for pricing/booking and have been completely ghosted even with multiple follow ups. Anyone else experience the same thing?

So far I have enjoyed almost everything! But, then again, I tend to be an incredibly laid-back person, and I absolutely love planning/organization... little details are super fun for me. I have said many times I missed my calling as a wedding planner LOL The only thing that has been a headache for me has been the guest list. I want to invite everyone, but we are having a DW and the venue just doesn’t have enough space for my huge family. I have made countless lists over the past 4 months trying to figure it out, but still haven’t figured it out yet 🤦🏼‍♀️
