Seeing each other before the ceremony for pictures?

We didn't really even having a true "first look" since DH picked me up after hair and make-up and we drove together to another location for couple portraits before our ceremony. Morning wedding, so light early in the day was best. I'm all about that lighting!! And it still felt very special walking down the aisle to him.

My husband insisted on waiting until the ceremony. I'm so glad we did. The picture of him seeing me, and reaching out taking my hands is my favorite. He doesn't smile much. But when he does it flips my world on its head

We aren't doing a first look. Only because I've always dreamt of seeing his reaction to me walking down the aisle.

We're doing a First Look for several reasons. It fits with our ceremony Processional, it's intimate, it takes the pressure off (ME!), and we can get some photos done then.

If you're still on the fence, research the reasons for the tradition. You might be surprised and find it doesn't relate to you or your situation.

We're doing a first look. It's one of the parts I'm most excited about!

It's just us no family so we're basically just having a fabulous photo shoot.

I'm doing a first look I'm hopes to enjoy part of cocktail hour with my guests.

We did do a first look. They are my favorite pictures from the wedding. I don't even really like the post ceremony "posed" pictures.

There is a restored 97 yr old wooden carousel near our venue. Since that is unique to our area, that's where we did our pictures. This is one of my favorites, it's actually sitting on our dresser.

We did a first look. It was so special. One of the most amazing moments of the day, and my favorite pictures!

We aren't doing a first look just because we like the tradition of waiting for the ceremony. We are also doing all the pics of the bride and Bridesmaids before and the groom and groomsmen before then while the guests enjoy cocktail hour we will do all the bridal party and just the bride and groom and family pics

We did a first look and were very happy with it. I thought it was a much more private moment than seeing each other while walking down the aisle, and we got all of our pictures (except formal family portraits) out of the way so that we were able to enjoy cocktail hour with everyone. I still was excited to see him when I walked down the aisle - the two moments don't even compare to each other. I definitely recommend it to everyone!

We didn't do a first look and if I could go back I would def do it. Things got crazy after the ceremony. We didn't get all the pics we wanted, one of the groomsmen changed and no one could find him, it wasted a lot of time. I wish we would have done pictures before.
