Seeing another bride with your dress

Our friend, who is getting married three weeks after me got the exact same dress as me. Same color, everything. We just laughed. I know she was upset because she told her FH that I am ruining the surprise of her dress for him at their wedding, because he will see it at ours. Idk why she even told him. But I really couldn't care less, honestly. It's a great dress, it's crazy that we both chose the same one.

I totally understand - me and another girl picked the same venue, colors (I ended up changing mine), lots of other similar things (her wedding was a year before mine) so I felt like all my ideas were being taken and mutual friends would be experiencing them twice. In the end I am like we both have really good taste

I also just saw a girl on facebook wearing my second choice dress, and it gave me major dress indecisiveness - I am wondering if I made the wrong choice! But I think it will all be okay! I have heard this stuff happens to a lot of people. Great minds think alike!

You know what, it just means you have good taste! These dresses are massed produced and it seems like others just happen to have similar tastes!

With the advent of huge retailers like David's Bridal, you have a good chance of seeing your gown on another woman. Doesn't matter. Every woman makes the gown her own.

You kinda take that chance with popular dresses. I got mine at Davids and I've seen a few people on here with the same dress, I don't blame them it's a pretty dress! But I knew when I bought my dress that several other people would either try my dress on or potentially the same one. Heck the girl next to me when I said yes to my dress was wearing the same one!

I still haven't seen anyone with my dress and keep looking on Instagram for other styling ideas. I wish it were more popular.

I logged into facebook one day and saw an old high school friend in my dress at her wedding! I laughed, sent her a message to congratulate her and tell her. Just means she had good taste in a dress. We will both look completely different in it no need to stress.

I've seen my dress several times since I got it and even a close family member bride had the exact same dress last month! Her wedding party had the same dresses as my bridesmaid and everything. I was a little disappointed at first but I realized my day is still going to be special and I'm even more excited when I tried my dress on for the last fitting.

I'm not getting my bridesmaids dresses from Davids bridal, I'm trying to find them elsewhere because EVERYONE has the dresses I chose! Lol

I am running into the opposite, I tried to find real brides with my dress, and alas found nothing.

I've seen my dress in a few Facebook wedding groups - I always think it's awesome! I love seeing how it looks on different ladies

Makes me wonder if people feel this way about invitations though? So many people just order from Vistaprint using their templates - everyone must see hundreds of the ones they pick.

On my honeymoon, I saw a girl that just got married at the resort we were staying at with my same dress. I was drunk and ran after her to tell her that I got married with the same dress, haha i think i scared her!!!

I saw another bride with my dress here on WW a while ago, and it made me happy that they fell in love with a gorgeous dress, too. I never expected that no one else would have "my" dress, but I will shine on my wedding day!

My cousin found out after she found her dress that it was the same dress as one of her friends, but it fit her perfect and she looked stunning. You get one day in your dress, one wedding, same as anybody else.

I know it's petty but I really hope that no one I know has the same dress as me. However with my wedding being in November 2018 there's certainly a chance... I do wish I could find it on Instagram or Facebook on someone other than a model though. It is a David Tutera spring 2017 so I think most people who ordered it simply haven't gotten married yet.

I have yet to see anyone on here w my dress. it is an older style, so maybe that is the reason why.

I actually like seeing others in the dress I want and am pretty sure I will buy. If it were like my best friend that might be a bit different. I also am wanting a dress from a collection a few years old, so it is not as popular now as it was in say 2014.

My Oleg Cassini dress is a DB dress and I've seen mine on here a few times. It's a flattering style, especially for plus sized brides such as myself.

One of the girls I played hockey with in high school got married a few months before me, and she had the same dress! I thought it was awesome - and it was fun to see how it looked in pictures. She is gorgeous and I always loved her so it made me like my dress more actually lol.

I am actually interested to see brides in my dress. I cannot find a single person. So if any of you ladies have a Mori Lee 3202 holla at me!!!
