Securing a drop veil... sewn comb or pinned comb?

Calling all brides who wore/are wearing a drop veil --- did you decide to secure it with a sewn in comb or did you pin the veil to the comb? I'm trying to figure out which way to wear it.

My seamstress says a sewn in comb is secure, but you don't have any flexibility with the placement/length of the blusher. On the other hand, Im nervous that a pinned on comb won't be secure enough to last through my first dance! Thanks for your thoughts
