Secrets vs Sandals honeymoon

My cousin went to a Secrets and DH and I went to Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay. Our cousins definitely had better rooms than us, but they both said that they wished they went somewhere where they could utilize other resorts. Their overall experience was good, but I can tell there were things they didn't love.

May I try and talk you into Sandals Montego Bay? From what I've heard, Sandals Ochi is a huge party resort. Sandals Montego Bay is the biggest in Montego Bay, and has the party atmosphere. You can also shuttle between all 3 resorts in Montego Bay. We stayed at Royal Caribbean, which had a smaller, more intimate, and I would say community feel to it than Montego Bay. We like to party, so we shuttled to Montego Bay a lot, but also loved the offshore island at RC. They don't have Secrets in Jamaica, but the "Sandals difference" was a real thing. Their resorts were much nicer than the surrounding resorts, the staff was so awesome, and the food was great. At Montego Bay, you have access to 20 restaurants between all 3 resorts.

I've never been to a Secrets resort, but DH and I loved Sandals. We went to their newest resort in Barbados. We had an ocean view balcony room and although it was no royal suite, it was spacious and the balcony made it all worth it. We had access to 11 restaurants on the resort and there wasn't a day where we were bored. I agree with Nicole, the "Sandals difference" is a real thing. You could tell how much nicer the Sandals resort was compared to others on the island.

This will probably not help, but FH and I will be staying at the Secrets in Costa Rica. The other all inclusive we have stayed at was Riu Palace Punta Cana and that was fabulous.

Hi Shanon and Patrick, if you have a travel agent go through them sometimes they have better information about deals for all the resorts. That is what I do for my brides run a comparison proposal so that they can see the differences and make a decision that best suits their needs and budget, and my goal is always to exceed expectations.

I have the exact same issue secrets or sandals Montego Bay I think I'm going to go with sandals so we can go to the other resorts .... The two really are very comparable but 20 restaurants vs 7 .... Plus they shuttle you for free between the resorts can't beat that .... We leave 11/27/16 day after the wedding and I can't wait!!!!!

I'm a little late on this post but we actually had Sandals Ochi booked for our HM and then switched to Secrets Silversands. Secrets is half the cost (including everything) of what it would have been to go to Ochi in June and we have a better room at Secrets. I had heard that Ochi is a huge party resort and some of the rooms can be noisy from the bars on the first floor and thats another reason why I was hesitant to go there.

We were having those same issues and actually had a travel agent help us out with our trip. We decided to go with Secrets The Vine in Cancun. I've heard great reviews and my travel agent informed us it was one of the newer resorts too!
