So i know im not the i only bride who has “dress regrets” i ordered my gown and paid in full and it was not cheap. The dress is gorgeous however i hate how i look in it when i go back to my photos. Im going to wait til it arrives to try it back on in the correct size, but im also at the point where i am already planning to exchange! I need something the complements body better i think, i am and always have been very self conscious of my size and i also feel i picked the one I bought out of feeling pressured and overwhelmed, now i feel its not the one. Post your regretted gowns.....curvy ladies post “the one “ i need inspiration!!

Same again! my mom was leaving the next day, too. I'm so glad I'm not alone in this experience!

    For me, I
*really* wanted a ruffle dress. I ended up going to a small bridal shop
instead of David's Bridal (a third time) because the ruffle dress at
David's didn't have any embellishments, which I really wanted, and I refused to have dress
    regret a second time!

My mom bought my dress so we went back to David’s for the exchange so she wasn’t out any money. My new dress cost $30 more but in the end it was so worth it. My dress is a lot more simple (I did like the beading on the bodice, but oh well) but it also feels a lot more me. Glad it worked out for both of us xD

Ladies, every picture you have posted shows how beautiful you are! I’m a 2nd time bride, plus size. I hate my body. But you know what? A wedding dress makes us all so beautiful. I found a dress online I wanted. My daughter came to town and insisted we go dress shopping. She said you have to try it on. The dress was the sample and I took it with me, paid in full. It’s beautiful!! But I don’t know how it looks altered. I keep thinking about the online dress. It was flowy like I wanted, elegant. But, I have my dress. Try to not have regrets. As my fiancé says, don’t nuke it!! You will be beautiful!

I think the dress looks beautiful on you, but I get the not feeling right in it feeling.

I am currently going back and forth on dress regret. I ordered my dress two days after getting engaged because my mom was in town so we went shopping. The plan was go shopping with mom, have her be super negative, get that out of the way, then go shopping with friends. Nope! My mom and I both fell in love with this dress! So we ordered it. When it came in I asked a friend and my future step-daughter and FMIL to go with me to get it but also to try on some other dresses just to make sure it was the one. Bad idea. I fell in love with another dress too. I finally decided to stick with the first dress (see below) but I keep going back and forth. I do love my dress, but the other dress had a train that felt more bridal dress to me. I. Don’t. Know. What. To. Do. This is my dress...Second thoughts about your paid in full gowns! 1
I’m considering maybe a long vail might give it a more bridal feel?

I think the dress looks beautiful on you! I’d try it on with a lace-trimmed cathedral veil- I think if will make it look more bridal

I think your dress looks beautiful on you! But I agree you should follow your gut and do what you feel is right for you.
I looked at the pictures of the other dress and now that I see those pictures I do think I’ll stick with my first one.

Yes, that’s what I was thinking about a veil as well. A longer one that would have that train effect would give it a more bridal look.

This post just gave me anxiety. I start dress shopping in a couple months and I have this fear. You have a nice figure by the way, and we are often our own worst critic. I see other ladies have gone through this and were able to exchange. That’s reassuring.

Dude. I got dress regret twice!! I LOVE my final (third) dress but... I have three dresses. Luckily they were all very affordable but still: I need to sell these other two :/ it happens. And mine happened for the same reasons: 1 I bought bc my mom liked it and I just hated how I felt so I “gave up” and got what she liked. 2 I ordered online and it’s very pretty but I haven’t been able to zip all the way. Thought I could lose the weight; I did lose weight but not enough to zip. So 3 I ordered online and it’s so perfect. I won’t ever get rid of it ❤️

I had the same issue and felt like I made a big mistake.. luckily the bridal shop allows one exchange. Now I just have to hope that they get a dress I love soon because I'm getting married in august and dont want to pay a lot for alterations 😬

Omg you are so beautiful, anything is going to look good on you. And FYI I love your hair short so sexy. If you dont grow your hair out for the wedding it doesnt matter. You are still a gorgeous hottieSmiley shame

If it's truly giving you anxiety, research the store's return/exchange policy in advance. David's Bridal provided me (well, my mom) with a full refund, no questions asked. The place where I ended up buying my actual dress had a no return/exchange policy, so I knew up front that I had to be 100% sure.

Also, don't feel pressured to make a decision RIGHT NOW. You have every right to say that you want to sleep on it or that you're not ready to commit. You may not cry like on TV; I find a lot of brides don't (including me). And if you're shopping at a chain like David's, you can try on dresses at a different location if you didn't like the experience at the one you went to. Sending you positive vibes!
