Second reception attire

My fiance and I will be getting married in his hometown of Grand Rapids, but will be having a second reception in my hometown of Salt Lake City about a week later. I'm getting mixed responses on if I should wear my wedding dress for the second reception/have my bridal party wear their ceremony attire for the second reception as well. I had envisioned the second reception as being more casual, but a good amount of people won't be able to make it to the actual ceremony/reception in Grand Rapids, so some people have expressed that they want to see me in my wedding dress at the second reception. Is that weird to have us all wear our ceremony attire for the second reception??

All the second receptions I've been to (all in Utah) they wore their wedding dress and the same with the bridal party attire pretty much everything was the same and very much casual

If you have time for everyone to get their attire dry cleaned, I think it would be great for everyone to wear their attire again. However, definitely have a backup plan in case your dress will not be cleaned in time, and if that's the case allow WP to wear more casual outfits as well.

Are the guys renting? will they have to rent for 2 weekends in a row or an extended period of time?
Personally I've never been to a second reception, it all seems a bit odd to me. We're getting married in TX & all of my family/friends are in Indiana, def wouldn't want to worry about hosting/planning/decorating 2 receptions. Are you willing to do 2xs the work?

Yeah it's definitely 2x the work haha. I have a lot of family & friends willing to help- just need to refine my delegating skills! nobody is renting their attire, we're having everyone buy (cheaper options). guess i need to figure out dry cleaning in between!

I am having a second reception and I will 100% be wearing my dress again. For what I paid and how good I feel in it I am wearing it every minute I can! My BMs will not all be at my second reception, but if they want to wear their dresses then can, if not that’s fine too. Only one GM will probably come to the 2nd reception and I highly doubt he will rent a suit again.
