Leslie, on July 26, 2021 at 12:34 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6
Hi everyone my church wedding is in 2023 but we are having a small civil wedding next month on the 28th I went wedding dress shopping with something like this in mind
Second guessing my dress😫 1But ended up getting this Second guessing my dress😫 2
Which I liked a lot but I never had that yes this is it feels and today I went to try it on for my alterations and I cried I started second guessing it and even wondering if I should switch into another dress that was more like the inspo later on in the day and I’m just overwhelmed! 😢
Has anyone else felt this way? Any advice?Help please!

The first one is really pretty but when I kept scrolling down and saw the second dress I was like “wow”!!!!! Looks stunning on you!

There must've been a reason that you chose this dress. My advice would be not to keep looking at dresses because people tend to question their original choice after they purchased when they compare them. I think your dress is beautiful! However, if you are not happy with it see what the return/exchange policy is and go from there. I feel like you should love your dress!

I agree with what Yasmine said! Do not keep looking at other dresses because you definitely will keep second guessing yourself. I found my dress, and I started second guessing.. So, I had to pull myself together and reflect on why I chose the dress that I said yes to in the first place. And I am 10000% sure that I made the right decision. Both dresses are BEAUTIFUL! But the second one really compliments your body! Smiley heart

I think the dress you chose is beautiful. We all have ideas of what "the one" is going to look like, or what we think we'll want. As others have said, there must have been a reason deep down that you chose this dress. I also agree that you should stop looking at others. I bought my dress in March 2019, and I made the mistake of occasionally peeking on the David's Bridal website *just* in case there was something else out there. You'll only make yourself crazy if you keep doing that. If you're feeling uncomfortable or insecure, talk about it with a seamstress when you're ready for alterations. Maybe there are some things she can do to dazzle it up a bit to make it feel more like "your" dress. Good luck!

    Hi there,

Although I didn't walk into my wedding dress shopping adventure with having a particular dress or style in mind, I can relate to your dress regret 100%. I purchased a dress that day and on the drive home I had IMMEDIATE REGRET! UGH! I couldn't get my mind off another dress I had tried on- that was a simple elegant trumpet dress( it fit like a dream) however, it was off the shoulders which I wasn't a huge fan off( it felt like it weighed me down) It wasn't until my drive home that I realized "oh i could just alter the off the shoulder part off" duh (wish I would have thought about that during my appt ). I'm typically a very laid back person, so me tossing and turning all night about not purchasing the other dress and just altering the off the shoulders part was KILLING me inside.

Needless to say I went back that Monday and purchased the dress that fit like a dream but has off the shoulders. It is currently being altered by my seamstress- she made it into a beautiful sweetheart neckline.. Iam 1000% happy that I went back and exchanged for my current dress.

If you are having regret and have the opportunity to exchange your current dress for another one.. DO IT! It beats having the regret weigh on your shoulders. When I made the switch a weight legit was lifted off my shoulders!

    Hope this helps!

OMG! I literally just got mine on Sunday and it is nothing like what I had envisioned but ultimately it is so ME. So I completely understand second guessing it, because I also have that feeling. Ultimately I love my dress so I’m happy.

Also, you look AMAZING in the dress you chose… you’d get lost in the wish dress. Show those curves because you are beautiful!
