Up with. The train is long and then there are the cape sleeves which is long as well. I’ll see once I do my fitting how much I can actually move around in it.

I'm staying in the same dress all day. Hopefully I'll be in my lingerie by night lol.

I’m wearing it the whole time! I’ll never wear it again so why not? I contemplated getting a 2nd dress but my dress is very comfortable & I don’t see it getting in the way.

Yup. We changed into pirate outfits for our reception. Fun and way more comfortable.


We also wore different wedding outfits for our local reception because it was a 1950/60’s theme.

I had an "after party" dress planned and ended up changing into it early, about halfway through the reception!

I'm still obsessed with my wedding dress - but that thing is way hotter and heavier than I had anticipated, and the big ballgown skirt made me feel like I was taking a foot in each direction! 😆 Thankfully I had a comfortable short white sequin "after party" dress and so I changed into it early so I could cool down and actually maneuver the dance floor! So I'd definitely recommend have a second dress on-hand just in case. 😉
