Second dress fitting

I just got my dress alternation schedule (1st time - lets say I didn't have much time to wait lol)

My dress alteration schedule is:

1st appt: August 29th

2nd appt: September 12th

3rd appt: September 28th (depending on how my second appt goes, this might be my last appt., but this is the appt. that I need someone to join to learn to do the bustle.

4th appt (final if not available on 3rd appt). October 4th. Pickup only. Alternations will be complete from 3rd appointment, mainly pressing.

I'm going with a local seamstress & not David's. She was able to do the schedule by looking at a pic of me in my dress. She was also able to price the alternations from that said pic.

My first, second, and third fitting appointments were less than 10 minutes each. At the third, I put on the shoes for them to measure the hem and decided which style of bustle I wanted. For my fourth and final fitting, my bridesmaids came with and they taught them how to hook, unhook, and bustle me. I also learned how to walk and sit in the dress.

At my second fitting it was super quick. We tried on the dress after she had done the alterations from the first fitting. For me, that included taking in a bit on the back, hemming it, and adding thicker straps. At that appointment I made sure to wear the bra I will be wearing the day of to make sure it wasn’t showing. She ended up having to pin it some in the front and back to keep it down. I’ll see the latest at the 3rd fitting this weekend with the bustle.

I only had 2 fittings. The second fitting was mostly just to make sure everything done after the first was correct and that the dress fit correctly still, was the right length, etc. Then I got to bring it home.

If your dress is getting bustled definitely make sure they go over with you how to do it.

I had 3 total. By the second 1, everything was done (added sleeves, hem) besides how tight I wanted it to be in the waist.
