I don't get seating charts. Sounds like school to me. Maybe because it's not the norm where I live. I've only been to a few that had them and I thought it was odd. The food was still buffet style. I have only been to two where we got to choose our entree. ETA I'm not meaning to put down anybody who is doing a seating chart. All I'm saying is I never understood them until I Googled their purpose not long ago. Again I probably just think it's odd because it's rarely done where I'm from.

We did our seating chart last weekend. My FH is a very brilliant intelligent man, and he said it was the hardest thing he had ever done LOL. Myself ... I felt like I was back in Algebra class again. I can totally relate to your meme! I want to steal it, haha.

Haha oh man that image reminds me of my discrete math class from college. It was the only college class I got a C in...I hated it! Thankfully our seating chart wasn't too bad, but DH wanted people to mix more and I was worried my family wouldn't like that...but whatever it all worked out in the end.

Ha! We aren't there yet, but I'm feeling pretty confident. I teach volleyball classes to groups of 60 at a time, so I'm constantly grouping people to make equally skilled teams and teams that won't hate each other. Hopefully it doesn't turn out to be false overconfidence!! >__<

    Truth!

We thought we had it all figured out, then someone changed their RSVP literally hours after we turned final numbers in.

Spent 45 minutes rearranging guests, after it took us hours over the last weekend to get the tables together.

Seating chart was the worst. 2 of my cousins don't talk (siblings) and my aunt requested that one of them sit with her...like picking favorites or something. It was all just so bad. I had coworkers sitting with family and my grandmother somehow ended up in the back of the room.

Is it sad that I actually enjoyed doing the seating chart?

ETA: I gave up on seating 8-10 at each table. Some tables I stopped at 7, some have 8 or 9. I just did what I needed to get someone at a table without causing any huge conflict.

Our RSVP date is this weekend...a weird mathy part of me is looking forward to the seating chart, but I know I'll hate it very soon...

I did the same as JaKLyn. We had 7-10 people per table depending on the grouping. It helped that our venue had two different size tables though.

JaKlyn, I absolutely loved doing our seating chart too!

But I also love doing puzzles so it was like a game to me.

Haha. It wasn't too bad making the tables but arranging the tables was another story. We also had to do it 3 times because the venue kept changing how many tables were in each row.
