"Say Yes to the Dress" and how I found mine elsewhere

Now comes the dress! I found it yesterday at RK Bridal. It's a Jasmine Couture t180 (minus jacket and sash) and was 1500 less than the so-so gown they had me in at Kleinfeld's.

I'm sooo happy with the dress and actually had THE feeling! Goosebumps, teary eyes, shaky hands, the whole nine!

After leaving Kleinfeld's I was beginning to think I was one of those girls who never gets to experience that "feeling" but now I know I wasn't. How fabulous it is to have the dress done and over with!

It was absolutely perfect and everrything I was looking for, which I was beginning to think it did not exist.

So I wanted to post a pic of the dress but I can't seem to figure out how to do that. If anyone can explain it to me, please let me know.

Congrats Rosie! Thanks for sharing your experience. I know I personally love to watch that show but it just goes to show how "reality" shows aren't all that "real".

Gorgeous gown!! I am sorry the Say Yes to the Dress experience wasn't all that great. I love watching the show, but never realized the "behind the scenes" were so crappy. Glad you found YOUR gown though!!!

Congrats on finding your dress its gorgeous. i love say yes to the dress but never thought of all the stuff that goes on behind the scenes. so are you going to be on the show? do you know the air date?

I love "Say Yes to the Dress," too, but I used to be in theatre - I already knew that there had to be some extra BS going on :-) - I watched an episode recently where they had the mother outside the dressing room crying for no real reason. I KNEW something had to be up then...

I have a love-hate relationship with say yes to the dress. I loved seeing all the dress styles and how they fit different body types. I absolutely despised overbearing tagalongs. It would make me furious to see a bride in love with a dress and have a mom or friend in the background going "I don't like it!" Because of this show I only took one person with me when I went dress shopping. I had other folks ask to tag along but I justnever told them when I was going. I stopped watching the show once I really got into my planning. Especially now that I've bought my dress I don't dare look at an episode lol!

Yeah, they actually made my Mom cry in the interview too. Grr. How stressful it was!

Yeah, I'll be on the show, but I'm not sure when yet. Although, I'm sure they are going to make me look cheap and like I took too much time, even though it was their fault I was there too long! lol

Love the dress! And always wondered about the show...NWR-My FH participated in Extreme Makeover Home Edition and it was so Hollywood and fake I couldn't believe it! But his episode runs this Sunday if anyone watches it :-)

Thats gorgeous!! congrats I have an appt on 3/6 at Kleinfelds, but I didnt apply for the show because I didnt want to deal with being on camera.. the consultants seeing me half nude is embarassing enough!!!
