I'm having a destination wedding on May 27, 2023 and sent mine out the first week of August 2022. I added my wedding website to my save the dates for travel and room block information so they can making travel arrangements. I plan to send my invites out first week of February 2023.

I appreciate your response. You are right.. know your guests. I will definitely look to send it out extra early so my wedding destination wedding will not become anyone's financial burden.

I sent my save the dates out 9 months before our wedding. We mailed them the first week of August 2022 for my May 27. 2023 Florida destination wedding. We included a wedding website link so our guest would have information on travel and room blocks in advance.

Get on it now, that way people can put in requests off for work especially if they come from out of town. Congrats on your upcoming wedding day!!!

4-6 months is a good amount of time for a community area wedding. Ours are going out in December. We’re getting married in May 2023 as well!

Hi, I'm getting married June 18, 2023 & we are going to send out save the dates sometime in October or November. We are going to add our engagement photo to it as well.

For destination weddings, I would send the STD about 8-10 months ahead. Doing it more than a year in advance will cause date confusion (people may think it's happening in 2023).

I definitely thought about that. I just need to give people time to get their money together because it's not a cheap trip however, I definitely do not want any confusion on the year. That can be messy

Yes for sure, it can get confusing. The one caution about DW's is that not everyone may be able to make it due to finances, but yes, giving people time can help.
