Save The Dates Timeline and Budget

Nicole, on October 9, 2019 at 12:42 PM Posted in Planning 0 4
When is the absolute latest to send Save The Dates for a June 28, 2020 wedding? I am hoping to save money and still have nice Save The Dates. I really like the idea of a magnet or foil, but I may just do magnets for immediate family who will keep them, and do postcards for the rest. Where is a good place to order? Is it worth it to wait for Black Friday specials? Does anybody know who has good sales typically for Black Friday?

Typically they're sent 7-9 months out but I guess if you really want to push, I'd say maybe 4 months and then send invites at 2 months before your wedding. Just make sure you keep in mind who you're inviting. Any out of town guests? How far? How much time will they need to take time off work? Will they already have plans?

As far as where to order, Zazzle has daily deals! I'm going through them. I already have everything mocked up. Just waiting for the time we're ready to purchase them. I heard minted is also a good source as well.

    Good luck!

Save the dates are normally sent 6-8 months out. I wouldn't send them out much later than January. Shutterfly has sales every week, I bet their Cyber Monday deals will be really good too.

I would say anything after January isn't worth it. I would wait for black friday or cyber monday specials for sure! I'd sign up for emails through shutterfly, minted, walmart, zazzle, etc. so you get emails for 50% deals.

Has anybody purchased and shopped around in the fall and found that the deals were really that much better during Black Friday/Cyber Monday? If its another 20% off+ additional that I don’t normally see, it could be worth it. But if it’s not anything more than what a new customer could find, I would rather do it sooner.
