We're getting ready to send out our Save the Dates... I've found lots of advice pertaining to the etiquette on how to properly word the addresses... but I can't find any advice pertaining to how to get those addresses on the envelopes! Is it appropriate to hand-write in my regular every day...

We're getting ready to send out our Save the Dates... I've found lots of advice pertaining to the etiquette on how to properly word the addresses... but I can't find any advice pertaining to how to get those addresses on the envelopes!

Is it appropriate to hand-write in my regular every day plain-jane handwritting?

Do I have to write in cursive?

Do I need to hire a calligrapher?

Is it totally against etiquette to run the labels through a printer?

What about printing on clear labels and sticking those suckers on the envelopes?

I know most people won't care... but my MIL is definitely the type to be offended if I do it wrong. ugh. HELP!

I have pretty nice handwriting, so I did something fancy but you definitely don't have to! I don't like labels, and I have a tiny budget so I wasn't going to pay to have them printed.

ETA: ugh mobile, not sure if my picture attached, but I basically did my own "calligraphy" by just writing everything out in pencil and tracing and then thickening certain strokes to make it look fancy.

I used clear labels. To be honest I was just really busy during the period the STDs went out and that was the quickest and easiest option, so that's what we went with.

For the actual invites we had the envelopes printed, but I don't think that was an option with the company we purchased the STDs from (or maybe it was but was a ridiculous price, can't remember).

Anyone who is "offended" by how you label your STDs seriously needs to chill out.
