Save the Date Return Labels

Samara, on March 2, 2012 at 11:34 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 10

Hey ladies, sending out the Save the Date magnets tomorrow (super excited, little late but still super excited) and want to be sure to do it "properly". I know the STDs can be a bit more informal but I don't want to be TOO informal and what have you. I am printing labels on our computer so I have quite a bit of options and just want to choose the best way. Do I do my name with our address (we live together)? Our names? Neither names? Something cute? Woods-Hunter wedding? (and yes I know those names are ridiculous together dashed lol) Please help! Thanks yall!

Also is it okay if the labels are in color? I wanted to print them in dark purple.

When we did our save the dates, I did not put any names on it. I just put our address because we lived together as well.

I wish that I would have put something cute on it though, I like the way you did the dash names. It is ackward because you don't share the same last name and you don't want to put Sue Jones and Bob Couch (silly example for names).

I was glad to be married and write The Davis' on our thank you cards, it made things easier!

We did "The Future Mr. and Mrs. Lastname" and our address. Everyone thought it was really cute.

We live together, but we did my last name & his last name and our address. You could do just first names as well!

My FH and I also live together. For our Save the Dates, I used my name for my guests and his name for his guests. I was lazy with our Save the Date envelopes and while I hand addressed all of our guests' addresses, I used return labels that we already owned, so he had his own and I had my own. I figured it made sense for my labels on my guests and his labels on his so people would recognize who it was coming from easier.

For our wedding invitations, I am using "The Future Mr. and Mrs. Ohler" for our return address.

I just put FH's name on it. I figure for the most part all of my friends and family knew his name and would realize it was for both of us. I wish I would have put bpth of our names now though!! Lol.
