Save The Date Postcards

We would also be sending them right after Christmas to bypass all that is holiday mail madness. It should be fine, right?

Have any of you sent out save the date postcards? Did everyone receive them? What was your experience?

Hmm...so I guess it just depends on who the carrier is then. I hear some rip and some don't. Definitely sounds like a toss up. I guess I'd rather get them back ripped than my guests receiving them already ripped.

I think save the date postcards are ok as long as the venue and specific wedding details are not listed on them.

I'm about to do save the date postcards too! I honestly just love the look of them and it saves paper! Plus, our wedding is in a barn and is more of a casual vibe anyway rather than a high-end vibe so I think it fits well!

They are not. Just the norm. Names, date and city/state with our website.

Nice! I don't feel so stressed about it now lol. Its saving us over $100+ on envelopes!! Still have to wait until after we receive our engagement photos which we're doing next month.

That's super exciting though! I've seen a lot of barn wedding photos and they're absolutely breathtaking. Congrats!

My wedding planner talked me out of post cards because they get pretty banged up in the mail apparently.

We sent our STD online as a graphic since it matches our invitation suite, and our invitations we are DIYing and sending by mail. I think either way is fine...it just depends what information you put on the STD.

Yea that's what I was thinking about too but I've heard some success stories. It would suck if that happens. I was content with envelopes and the whole nine but I'm also saving a bit of money so I can't complain too much.

We don't have any sensitive info on there. Just the regular name, city/state and website. I would have to look into seeing if I can even pass code protect my website or something. Just in case. Other than that, after talking to everyone on this post, I think I'll be ok.
