save the date magnets?

I was wondering if anyone is sending off pre-invitations, or save the date cards. I see so many ads for magnets, I'm wondering if this is a good idea. This site is helpful: http://magnets-save-the-date.blogspot.com, but wondering what you think?!??

A really fun new idea for Save the Dates are scratch off tickets. You'd send them the scratch off- and they'd reveal your date! It's a cute twist and it seems everyone is addicted to Scratch Tickets! Contact me and I can send you samples Smiley smile

Save the Date jigsaw puzzles are really taking off! You can customize, personalize with a great photo and mail....The Missing Piece Puzzle Company has an really great price on their puzzles and they come in packs. http://www.themissingpiecepuzzlecompany and then put the magnets on the back. Worth the look because they do the work for you.
