Saturday is the day!!

Natalia, on September 9, 2019 at 10:36 AM Posted in Planning 0 9
My wedding is this Saturday and I am absolutely freaking out! My family started arriving and I keep thinking of all the things I still have to get done. Doesn't help that my fiance has been working hard and is dead tired (bless him) so the last thing he wants to do is wedding stuff.

I need advice on how to survive the next few days otherwise its not good for my health.

I'm the following Saturday and I just try to keep telling myself, the little things that are left aren't super important and if i can't get them done, then I dont. As long as you have your marriage license signed at the end of the day, it's a success! Everything else is just extra. They're nice extras, but not necessary ones. I also think maybe scheduling your days, so you know what to work on when will help. Good luck and congratulations!

Since you have family there ask for help on things you can delegate and remember that you are probably putting pressure on yourself to do things that aren’t needed and won’t be missed if you don’t do them. Try to do something for yourself this week to relax like a facial or a long walk and lots of eater and deep breathes. Good luck.

So originally I was taking Wednesday-Friday off and then be off the following Monday-Tuesday. My wedding is same day as yours- Then I started freaking out at work and decided today would be the only day I worked. So I gave myself an extra day to get situated. I too, will have family start to arrive tomorrow. OMG! Luckily it's my mom and she is going to help clean my house and stuff.

Good luck stay calm and just go with it.

Hey date twin! I am in the same boat, I just about had a panic attack at my desk today because I thought I forgot something. I am working through Wednesday and all I can think about is all the stuff we need to do (create the centerpieces, get the marriage license, finish our signs) and ugh! I am looking forward to being able to spend time with my family and friends we haven't seen in a while and that's what's getting me through - and our honeymoon to Montreal the next day!

Hey date twins! What has helped me is to have a list - a very thorough one so I am not responsible for trying to remember any details. Each day, I decide what I will do (we will be packing our bags tonight and doing the seating chart tomorrow) and make sure it gets done! What else has helped me is to spend time for relaxing. I got my pedicure yesterday, which was awesome.

I totally understand how you could be overwhelmed. If family is with you, maybe delegate to them a few "fun" tasks. For my brother's wedding, I helped put together the seating chart and stuff like that - it was crafty and super fun to do with family! Good luck and hope you get a chance to rest up.

I am getting married this Saturday too. What do you have left to do? I'm in a good place and not freaking out about anything yet. I am prioritizing my water intake and sleep though.

Hey date twins. Lists, lists, and more lists. The act of checking items off is very satisfying. If you have a ton of DIY's cancel them. It's only going to make things work. When all is said and done this is one day so slow down and enjoy the process.

My wedding is on the following Saturday and I am also feeling the stress really kick in. I have a lot left to do! I made a list of everything that I still had to do and then put them in order with the most urgent tasks at the top. I plan to work my way down the list and if a few things don't get done, I am not going to panic.

Make sure you take some time for yourself these next few days too.
