Satin vs. Cotton robes

FutureMrs.E, on January 23, 2016 at 1:37 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 19

I'm looking for bridesmaid robes but was wondering which fabric would be better for a July wedding??

Satin or cotton?

I actually love robes. It's my in-between outfit when I'm not ready to put clothes on yet! Smiley smile

But I went with waffle comb cotton robes for my girls. I think they are a little more comfy.

I don't like satin robes, personally.

Cotton. They are more flattering on all body types and stay closed better.

I think cotton will also be more breathable, so probably better for a July wedding.

I only wear satin robes over lingerie. To me they are a sexy thing but nothing I would ever wear for more than a few minutes to then take off, lol. Cotton robes or fleece robes are what I wear around the house to feel comfortable. As a BM I would rather have a cotton robe for getting ready.

I don't think it really matters, since I'm assuming you'll be inside in AC? Haha. We did satin robes for my girls, mostly bc they came in the color I wanted.

Cotton. Satin also tends to crease/wrinkle horribly and easily.

I like satin but cotton would be better fit for July...breathable and cooler.

I got mine both. Cotton bath robes on Robemart.com and satin robes on ebay. Both together were around $30 total. I thought they would like the bath robes after the wedding as gifts and the satin ones could be used for pictures getting ready.

So pretty! I like those. I got mine from ComfyClothing on Etsy, and a bridal white lace robe from aaberi, also on Etsy.
