Sandals butler service?

St.Lucia is so beautiful, you and your FS will have a wonderful, relaxing break!

What does the resort say is included with the butler service? Is it a 24/7 service? It sounds very luxurious!

Which St Lucia Sandals are you going to?

We went to the Regency La Toc and did NOT do butler service. We were hoping to get upgraded and no such luck b/c Saint Lucia is the #1 honeymoon destination and literally 10 other couples checking in that day were married the same day as us. That said, if you are staying at La Toc the butler rooms are MUCH bigger than the normal rooms. The normal rooms were teeeeeeeeeeeny and everyone was upset at that. I heard much different about the Grande (i.e. that they have large rooms in general). Also, there are a ton of hills at La Toc and the butlers drive you around in golf carts. Grande and Halcyon are flat so that wasn't needed. Hope that helps.

For my parents' 25th they went to Jamaica and had a butler at their Sandals resort. This was the first time they'd ever done something like that, so they didn't know what to expect. They thought the butler service was ok when they got back. Well when they got home they were talking to their travel agent about the trip and she asked how the butler was and they told her some of the things the butler did for them (which were still all good), and she was super surprised because she felt like my parents got the short end of the stick. Apparently they're SUPER over the top will get you anything and everything.

SO last year my parents and my brother and I went to the Bahamas. My parents had a butler for their room, my brother and I did not (there was no reason to have 2). The butlers were AMAZING and still got stuff for my brother and I. They were so much fun and just made the trip more memorable. They booked all of our excursions and made all RSVPs for dinner every night while we were there. They escorted us to all of the restaurants, got our first round of drinks, and anything else we needed to start off. During the day when we were just hanging out at the beach or pool, they called and asked if we needed anything to eat or drink. One day they showed up with a cooler of a specific kind of beer for my dad and the other day they brought us hot meals to the pool! They were amazing.

If it was up to me planning a trip, I probably would not get a butler, but mostly because I hate feeling needy and I probably wouldn't get my money out of it. However, my dad booked our honeymoon and insisted we have a butler. LOL
