Amy, there are TONS of bars in the GasLamp district of San Diego. I know that area very well. We'll be sure to stop in during your reception . Beef dish, please x 2 lol.

Seriously...check out GasLamp District in Google. Should list a lot of bars within a decent walk of the Hyatt. The Bay has some nice restaurants with bars..."Roy's also comes to mind...hawaiian themed I think.....

I think @Groomzilla is thinking of the downtown Hyatt, not the Mission Bay one. Parking in Gaslamp is an absolute nightmare, especially if you're trying to corral a group of people. You could try taking the trolley, but it has a limited schedule.

Mission Beach would be the closest place to look for a bar or restaurant.

Darn it..you're right Stacy...was thinking Downtown..not Mission Bay. Argh. I goofed...don't know Mission Bay like I do downtown (no, really I do!)

I've never had too hard a time @ Gaslamp. There's a ton of parking near Padre Field in the structure or on the streets. Think some of the Hotels near by are fairly reasonable too...

Hi Amy! I actually don't think there are any bars walking distance from there. If you are willing to take a cab Pacific Beach is probably the closest place with a pretty large nightlife. Similar to downtown, parking is not very convenient, so a would recommend a cab. (It's probably only a 5 minute ride) What kind of place are you looking for? A crazy nightclub, chill dive bar, something in between??

Ashley is right. the closest bar to you are going to be in Pacific Beach and you would have to take a cab. DOes the hotel have a bar you guys could party at?

That sucks, I'm looking to get married at the Hyatt MB in 2014, and the bars there close at 10 :/

Also, I don't know if you guys have ever BEEN to PB, but that place is totally obnoxious, there's nothing but skanks and bros there, everyone is out of control and belligerent, they are known for about a million DUI's a weekend, and the most recent news I heard was that a bouncer got stabbed by some drunk jerk :/

A friend of a friend got jumped there. I'm just saying, PB is NOT an awesome place to go, unless you like to hang out with egocentric narcissists that drink too much...
