I previously found an Essence of Australia dress that I’m obsessed with, and can’t get out of my head, but my hesitation was that it’s close to double what my dress budget is. However I’m going to a sample sale tomorrow at a different salon, and they just so happen to be selling that dress for half of the original cost! I was totally excited until I realized the dress is one size too small— I’m bridal size 14, it’s a 12. Assuming the dress is in good condition, should I buy the dress and work like hell for the next 17 months to lose the weight? I was planning on doing that anyways, but I know people say to never by a dress size too small in the off chance you don’t lose the wait you want. But since this is a one day sale, would you guys see this as an exception? Any guidance will be much appreciated 😩

Yeah I technically measured between 4 and 6 but the difference between the two, in the waist, was 24inches (size 4) and 25 inches (size 6). She really tried to talk me into the smaller size because she said it’s easier to zip people in with the high back it has. I felt more comfortable with the larger size so went with that. But for sure go try it on and have them measure you and compare it against Essence of Australia’s measuring chart and go from there! It only has to fit your waist and bust, but also could have a corset back added if need be since you’re getting such a deal! Good luck!!
