Same Place?

My venue has inside and outside where we can use each space how we want. We would love outside everything but then would be waisting the beautiful inside. Both ceremony and recpetion on the same lot, reception inside with cocktail outside in a seperate area than ceremony (outside as well), during reception the cocktail outside are will be turned into lawn games, picture oportunities and some seating too, maybe a fireplace

We are having ours at the same location! We have alot of guests who are from out of town, and out of state. So we thought it would be easier to just have it all in one place. The only time anyone would have to leave, to go and take photos.
Just love the idea of it all in one place, instead of having it at ine venue then having to jam everyone in a car to get to the next place

Mine are in the same location. I haven't been to a wedding that had multiple locations in many years and I am thankful for that!

Both are being held on our land. Were having a higr tented reception with the ceremony right next to it by the trees! 🖤

Church ceremony, reception at a golf club half a mile down the road. It was important to us for our ceremony to be at our church, and we wanted to make it as convenient as possible for guests by choosing a reception site that was very close to the venue.

We are doing everything on the same property and I found an Airbnb close by where I am taking the bridesmaids pictures. I honestly just didn’t want to have to worry about driving and really enjoying the moment instead of having to be rushed here and there.

Both of ours is in the same place and both indoors.

Ceremony is in a church and our reception venue is a 5 minute drive.

Since I have a venue the ceremony and the reception will be at the same location. If I had gotten married in my church I would have had the wedding there and then I would have had the reception at another location. The wedding is out of town and it would just be easier for everyone to stay at the same place :-)

Ours is in the same place. The venue has a "chapel" for the ceremony, a cocktail area, and the ballroom for the reception.

Our venue is ceremony and reception makes it easy. We will be over looking the creek for out ceremony then we will be in a rustic barn for our reception! Here is the ceremony site and the inside for the reception! So excited

Ours will be at the same location! Ceremony in the ballroom, cocktail hour downstairs in the wine cellar (it's a lot nicer than it sounds, very rustic and quaint haha), and then by the time they come back to the ballroom for the reception, it'll be all set up!

Our ceremony and reception are in the same outdoor area at a resort in Sedona. About half the guests are staying on-site in really cute chalets and making a weekend of it, I think it's going to be so fun!

Our's is all on the same property but in different parts. The ceremony is in a gazebo garden behind the house on the grounds (big Victorian house), cocktail hour is in the gardens in the front of the house, and the reception is in a indoor/outdoor pavilion.

Our ceremony is one location and reception in another about 40min away.

I would prefer to have them in the same place, to save money and to save our out-of-town guests from having to drive all over the place. For some reason my FH wants a church wedding, though neither one of us goes to church!

You had your reception first and then your ceremony that sounds so interesting! Had never heard of someone doing it like that before. What made you want to do the reception first and then the ceremony?!
