Personally, I would take every opportunity I could to wear that dress!! We spend so much money on them, then only get to wear them a couple hours. I say maximize your time in it!

We are in the same boat as you, mini ceremony only with family this year and big wedding with all the stuff next year. I won’t be wearing my dress until the wedding next year. I want to keep a lot of the wedding stuff for the wedding to make it special. I’m going to be wearing jeans a white blouse we are doing a little backyard bbq thing. You could wear a white cocktail or maxi dress if you opt for something other than your wedding Dress.

I can definitely see Megan's point, but I spent so much money on my dress I would have loved to wear it a 2nd time.

I am having an elopement ceremony on 10/31/20 and then our larger ceremony on 10/15/21. I plan on wearing my wedding dress twice, and I can't wait! I'm going to do my hair and make up and bouquets different so I can get some different photos! I think you should do whatever you want

I plan on wearing mine for the small ceremony and then possibly again for the big party (or two we may have one in my home town and one in my FH hometown).
