Rude to sent thank you cards so late?

Brittany, on November 15, 2020 at 2:16 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 18
I got married almost exactly 3 months ago. I started my thank you cards but I never sent them. Is it more rude to send them this late? Or to not send them at all?

I'd definitely send them. People understand, particularly with everything going on this year. A thank-you is always appreciated!

I'd definitely send them. I don't think it's rude to send them now - better late than never!

You have up to a year. 3 months is fine. It's better to send them when you can rather than not at all.

It’s definitely more rude to not ever thank people for the gifts they gave you.

You’re still ok but I would get them out dinner rather than later.

They have a year to give you a gift. Thank you notes should be sent promptly. Get them out ASAP - definitely better to send them late than not at all.

I agree with everyone! Your guests will be very appreciative of your thoughtfulness. Besides, most are expecting them and waiting. Congratulations!!!

Send them! Like others have stated above, it's better to send them than not send any at all.

I agree with everyone else. But also, sending them now will be doing YOURSELF a favor, because then you won't have to worry about this any more. Free up your worry muscles for other things. Smiley winking

I would send it, it’s definitely not too late.

I’ve seen this and I think it’s a pretty neat idea, a couple uploaded their wedding photos (selected a few) to the wedding website and added that on the thank you card so guests could view.
That could also be an excuse for the delay in getting them out.
