But last night I was at the grocery store and the cashier was someone we went to high school with. We weren't friends with her in high school, and have never really liked her. She starts the conversation by asking where he was and I told her that he was out with friends and I got a huge lecture about how she doesn't have time for stuff like that because she works two jobs. What do you say to that? Eventually it goes to how she is engaged now, and I tell her congratulations and she asks when our wedding is. I tell her and she tells me they haven't picked a day yet. Then (as I am paying) she says "You know, no offense to you, but we did the opposite thing. I've thinned down since high school, and you PLUMPED up" .... Seriously? I said yes, I did, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and issues with my thyroid. Even the lady behind me looked like she wanted to punch her. THEN as I am putting my bags in the cart she says "I'll send you my address on FB so you can send me an invite!" and she actually did!!
