Amber, on May 8, 2017 at 9:55 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 43

Hey guys! I am getting married next year and I have acneSmiley sad I've tried everything! It's mostly on my chin. I want to clear it up by the wedding because it looks like I can't afford a make up professional. Any tips? Or home remedies? Anything? TIA!!!

So I've tried Proactiv and that helped but it would sometimes dry out my skin. Just recently, I went to a Norwex party and I purchased these washcloths that you just use water. It completely takes off my makeup. I've been using it for a week and no breakouts! I also just started my period so that's pretty exciting! Could be just coincidence but I'm hoping it will continue helping prevent breakouts!

FYI: I don't sell this stuff, I'm just a happy customer!

I used to just use a bar of ivory soap. Best thing ever. It worked very well for me and barely cost anything!

Thank you!! I'm going to look into both! I've always had acne and now I even have scars! It's terrible on my chin and I now have a little between my eyes. I also have super sensitive skin so proactiv didn't work for me. Thanks guys!!!

My acne is horrible and I'm almost 30. Recently I've learned that if I wash my fave 2 times a day it dries it out but later it gets greasy which I think causes pimples. I just gently exfoliate every night before bed, use a oil free lotion before make up and use a mud mask 2 times a week. My FH made a comment about how much healthier my skin looks. I also have to watch the kinds of makeup I use...Almay has worked wonders in coverage and doesn't make my skin to oily

I have tried many products and I finally caved and went to the dermatologist. They gave my antibiotics for 60 days and an antibiotics topical gel for morning and Retin-A for night time and a benzoyl peroxide face cleanser (Kaiser's brand) and I haven't had a breakout in a while AND my scars are slowly fading. Talk to your dermatologist!

ETA: it was recommended to use non-comedogenic products and I only use Clinique make-up now and Cetaphil make-up wipes.

Have you seen a dermatologist? If you can't afford that, I suggest you get a facial once a month. I can say that HudraFacials have saved my skin! Also, avoid anything with mineral oil, parabens, sulfates, etc. Do your research & look at the ingredients in your skincare. Possibly look into more natural skincare products.

I have Medicade I don't know if I can see a dermatologist. I tried years ago they said I needed a referral but the dr. Didn't see my acne bad enough. I will see if I can get into any now. Right now I use honey for scars (which is incredible) fading already! And I use neutragena pink grapefruit scrub 2x a day and ponds lotion (I have dry and oily skin) but it isn't working Smiley sad

whatever you find that starts working, stay consistent and be patient! Your skin is going to take time to adjust. I highly recommend talking to a dermatologist.

This is what helped me- I stopped using ALL skin care products, and switched to cleaning my face with just warm water. My skin improved 200%, cleared right up! Now, if I get an occasional blemish, I use apple cider vinegar on my face with a cotton swab and that is IT. I also moisturize in the morning with MAC Timecheck lotion. The amount of money I've saved from trying products is unbelievable! Smiley smile

I use apple cider vinegar to! I think I could keep it clear it's just getting it there. I'm trying to hard to be patient. I don't know if stopping will work I have oily skin too. I will look into what's in my moisturizer and see about switching. Thanks guys!!

If you can't afford to get a professional to help, I would suggest looking at Caroline Hirons blog. She has great skin care info and is responsive to questions.

I use FORMULA 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mask 2-3 x per week and wash 2x daily with Philosophy Purity. Helps me a lot and is affordable.

I use a glycolic acid cleanser and lotion I bought from Amazon. It helps but my problem is deep pores clogging.

I know it's hard but try not to pick at your acne because it'll produce more scars and recreate infection/more acne. I would wash face with gentle face wash and warm water, use a toner (I make mine with witch hazel and ACV) and then moisturize with a light moisturizer after everything. You have to be consistent though! Also, exfoliating with a gentle scrub 2 or 3 nights a week will prevent dirt and dead skin build up. And obviously easier said than done but staying away from junk foods will also help improve it

If you can afford a facial they are good for deeply clearing out pores and the aesthetician can suggest a daily skin routine. That or put the money towards a dermatologist visit/products. Good luck. You have plenty of time! Diet and hydration are important as well.

I use to suffer from bad acne but went to a dermatologist for years. After getting it under control I still broke out. I used a facewash from a beauty supply that worked but would dry my face out. The past year I have been making my own facewash with castile soap and essential oils. Works works wonders
