So my fiancé & I are trying to save paper in this whole endeavor, & decided to skip save the dates & RSVP cards. Instead, our wedding website is linked on the invitation & folks are asked to RSVP online. The problem is, no one is RSVPing & my wedding is 5 weeks away. I do NOT have the time to chase down all these people, but I don’t want to assume that only 15 or so people are coming! Help?

So sorry! But, it happens. People just suck at planning attendance for events like this! Just give them a call; I'm sure they'll be totally apologetic about not responding sooner and it'll be easy. Good luck!

Ask your MOH to help you track people. It would be good to know how many people really are attending.

Definitely follow up and remind people, even if it's informal like an email or having your parents text or call people. i posted on my social medias for a few weeks before my deadline because my family is notorious for not rsvping to anything. I even sent out paper rsvps too, because if they had to rsvp online no one would rsvp except for maybe one or two people.

We are doing the same thing (email STD, physical invite mailed to them with no RSVP cards but our wedding website URL, and guests will need to RSVP online via our website).

Because your RSVP deadline is January 1, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people are totally wrapped up with the holidays and just haven't thought much about your wedding (not trying to be harsh, people just get super busy with family and parties and all and forget things that aren't happening "right now" during holiday season). Just make sure you have contact info for all the people on your guest list and plan to follow up with them in any way possible (text, email, phone call, etc). If your list is huge, you can enlist the help of your partner and friends and family to follow up as well.

We have chosen to do the same thing. Our RSVP/wedding link was on the invitation. 40 people out of 160 have RSVP'd and the due date is 1-5-20. Basically no one in the wedding party RSVP'd so we know many more are coming. I think a lot of people just wait until the last minute and don't realize how important RSVP is. I'm just glad to hear someone else did the same thing! I hope your RSVPs are coming in! We are each about to send reminder texts out to our own lists...and our parents will take care of their friends. I have found some older people but even some younger ones have had some confusion with online RSVP, however we did a trial with several people before we printed our invitations and everyone said it was super easy. Operator error maybe!

Do you have yours set to send out a reminder text? We set ours to send a reminder text 1 week before the deadline to all guests that had not already RSVP'ed. We ended up getting all of our RSVP's except for 2 by our deadline. The reminder text works wonders!
