Rsvps?

Kylie, on December 25, 2019 at 12:40 PM Posted in Planning 0 26
So my fiancé & I are trying to save paper in this whole endeavor, & decided to skip save the dates & RSVP cards. Instead, our wedding website is linked on the invitation & folks are asked to RSVP online. The problem is, no one is RSVPing & my wedding is 5 weeks away. I do NOT have the time to chase down all these people, but I don’t want to assume that only 15 or so people are coming! Help?

You gotta send texts, emails and dm's. People for some reason if when they are absolutely coming have to be urged to rsvp it's just unnatural lol. You build a party they will come.

Lots of my guests didn’t rsvp even though we had save the dates and rsvp cards. You’ll just have to text them.

There’s no getting around it, you’ll have to follow up.

Most likely. Even with mail in RSVPs, people don't factor in the time for delivery and usually send them on the due date. You will most likely get a most of them on the 1st/2nd and will need to follow up with whoever after that date.

Then your RSVP date hasn't passed and you're still 5 weeks from your wedding, so don't do anything yet. After your RSVP date has passed you will need to follow up with anyone who doesn't RSVP, however.

You'll get a flurry around the deadline (my partner and I did the digital RSVP via website thing too). What we found helpful was to send a reminder to RSVP via email the week before the deadline...that helped create a significant influx.

Chasing folks down is part of it if you want to know if they are coming. Regardless of the times, not everyone has access or knows how to use the internet so you may need to call them. Others may have forgotten, had an issue and gave up or thought they did etc.

Try to send a mass “reminder” email to everyone. That way you can link the website to do it right there for them and hopefully it’s not as time consuming as texting everyone individually!

I *just* figured out how to do that through my website, haha. Here’s hoping it works, your girl TRULY does not have the time to send individual reminders Smiley tongue

Because you didn't do paper rsvp's you'll have to chase people down and send them the link for your website. its great on saving money but it will take more time. people forget

If you have a moh, maybe she can help you divide and conquer calling or sending social media messages

Send texts, emails, or call. Even social media.

Damn I'm sorry girl. Can't say Im surprised that you have to "chase everyone down". I am in no way trying to do that because we'll be wrapped up in planning the finishing touches. But since your day is literally a week away, I would understand why YOU would do that. I was just planning on my parents contacting their sides and urging them to do so. Hope everyone has responded back by now.

Their wedding is 5 weeks away, not a week away.
