My RSVP deadline is today! For reference: I invited 107 guests and have received RSVPs for 38 people. 31 are attending and 7 have declined. I'm giving them a few more days, then at the end of this week and next week I will be contacting people. We did an online RSVP option at Zola.com. I have gotten some verbal yes and nos from people, but I didn't want to RSVP for them until after the date. We will have to contact around 40 people to find out if their party is attending. I'm really not annoyed because I'm not surprised at all.

Our RSVPs are slowly trickling in but I know we'll have to follow up with a good amount of the guest list. I'm not sure why most people wait to RSVP (or don't answer at all). I hope you get the rest of yours quickly after you reach out to the stragglers!

This is one thing I’m not really looking forward to. Our RSVP’s are due 7/31, however, we are on vacation until 8/4 so it’ll be a project. I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how many we’ve received so far, but still a good amount left we’re waiting on. We’ve had quite a few people tell us how excited they are for it, but haven’t sent their RSVP yet. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hey date twin! I honestly didn't read the above comments but 38/107? Yikes. It sounds like you have the right attitude tho! My RSVP deadline is Aug 2 and it is a little harder to track because we did online invites through Evites so I have NO CLUE how many invites I actually sent! lol but so far we have 173 confirmed guests, 5 no's and 58 still pending. I am guessing we will end up with close to 200. Our venue can hold up to 300 and our caterers are planning for approximately 250 so we should have plenty of food! I am not stressing either because I am not doing a seating chart.

Good luck getting everyone confirmed. I can't wait to see how all my date twins' weddings turn out Smiley smile

That's awful! Why do people do this?! Hopefully people respond pretty quickly once you start reaching out.

I was annoyed with having to contact like 15 people, I can’t imagine that many!

Wow that’s annoying 😐 We did e-vite with online only RSVPs. So when guests open the invite, they can click on it & go directly to our website to RSVP. In the first 3 days of sending the invite we got 29 out of 83 RSVPs, which is pretty great! I’m sure if we sent physical invite we wouldn’t have gotten even third of that lol.

I did RSVP on the wedding website, or email, or call/text. Everyone should have access to at least one of those things. But I’m sure I’ll still be making calls after my RSVP date.

The RSVP thing is so annoying!! We invited 194 guests and I have 115 “yes” 35 “decline and 44 “no response” it’s so frustrating because I feel like as a guest you have 2 jobs- RSVP and get a gift lol. I don’t think people realize that we need a headcount for food, cake, drinks....SEATS😂
i didn’t reach out to the non responders and I probably should have. We have 17 days until the wedding and if they show up, hopefully they bring a sandwich and a chair.
Good luck to you and FH in tracking them down, you’re better than I am!!!!

Verbal RSVPs or RSVPs through other people are so annoying. Like, I'm not marking you down until I have it in writing.

What I started doing was on my Google Sheets invite list is if someone told us or our parents they were coming or not coming I filled in the box next to them as yellow, and then changed it to green or red once I got the actual RSVP.

I did that at first! I have Zola for my "real" RSVPs and I'm still keeping track of my guest list on WW too. I use the seating chart tool on here and its really helpful. On WW I put even the verbal RSVPs so I can be prepared for the most people.

Right!?!? That is a super smart idea. I'm like come on. People opt to not actually RSVP because they think it gives them an out... closer it gets if you follow up its like "oh no, I didn't RSVP" and all you have is the verbal so theres no commitment. Like come on people just commit to a date its not that hard its a yes or no and make it known you are making that decision lol

I can't wait, only 4 more days until our deadline! I really want to get the final.number in to the caterer and pay them.

    My numbers:
    38 accepted, 12 declined, 26 no response.

I'm watching the mail since that's how I've been recieved most the cards back. It's pretty exciting to get a random notification on my phone that someone RSVP'd. I don't mind when people have told me of FH in person instead of by mail, I just log into my app and mark them down.

Allie, how is your RSVP situation going? Have people gotten back to you that didn't respond? Going to have to go through this in about a month or so, so just curious haha

Nope! My mom bugged a few people to RSVP but I already knew they were coming (hotels booked) so it didn't really help me out. So far I've gotten 42 attending and 9 declines. I have two people to check with in my family. The remaining 50 are all FH. I doubt he will contact them in a timely manner so who knows what is going to happen haha.
