RSVPs are rolling in (yay!) and I'm getting so excited. However, I'm receiving wayyy more yeses than I expected, from one particular "group."
My aunt (mom's sister) asked me several months ago about throwing me a shower with my grandmother's side of the family. My mom did this with both of my aunt's daughters, and I know she just wants to return the favor (especially since my mom passed two years ago, she really wants to help and do as much for me as she can since I don't have my mom here). I politely told her how much I appreciated it, but I just did not have the extra room on the guest list to invite distant family members (30 of them to be exact). She then told me that they wouldn't drive the 45 minutes to the wedding, they would just like to give a gift as that's what most of them family did for her daughters' weddings. I caved and said yes, and I know she really wanted to do this for me. So far, 16 of those 30 people (when I was expecting maybe 4) have RSVPed yes. (Cont)
