I have to vent. Our RSVP deadline is tomorrow and we have only received RSVPs from HALF of our guests. They have had a little over a month to return RSVPs, so plenty of time. I understand that people might have covid concerns right now, but then they could at least reach out and talk to us. We sent formal invitations with stamped RSVP cards to return, so there was nothing complicated about it. On top of that, three of the RSVPs we got back so far had no names! UGHHHHHHH

Anyone else have issues getting guests to RSVP? I feel like I'm going to spend my whole week next week tracking people down..

I’m experiencing the same, guest don’t understand we need head counts for caterers. I will be making follow up phone calls next week as well, they are coming out they’re not, simple as that. I’m not going to stress too much about that, I’m going to enjoy my day with or without them, choose those battles👍

On the RSVP deadline date I would send individual text messages to the people you have not heard from. Something kind & gentle; "Hey there! I hope all is going well for you. I am working on our guest list today and hadn't heard from ya'll; we'd love for ya'll to be there with us on our special day-- can you please let me know your intentions sometime today? Thank you so much! All my best, Dayna".
It's a gentle reminder and shows that you're gracious for their time and consideration of attending but also sends a strict deadline for your need. It's a win/win for all.
