I just started getting my cards back, so far a good steady 5-6 each day. I also made my RSVP date May 27th even though I don't have to give a final headcount until June 24 for that very reason....if I have stragglers I will start making phone calls or asking people in person. Other than that....they just can't come to the reception.

@Christina... thats where the wedding website would come in after you set it up properly for you guests to RSVP. You can look at mine or we would all be willing to help you if needed.

I am very confused? Why would you have an RSVP deadline 2 months before the wedding? I could see for out of town guests, but my invitation lady recommended to have the due date 3 weeks before the wedding. I have heard of some venues needing a guest count a bit earlier, but wow 2 months seems really early.

We are sending out a mass email to all guests a few days before RSVPs are due to all guests who have not RSVP. It will say nicely RSVP to the email or send the card or do not show up.

I've been using facebook and email to get definite responses back from guests. We just asked people to respond via phone or email and did not include RSVP cards/envelopes, so I think this may have made it tough for some who are used to responding on paper.

Me and my FH discussed what would be our plan of action (I am sending mines out next week) and since I made my own R.S.V.P. cards, I put a note that they can call, do it online at our wedding website, or mail it in. If they don't do it, then they are not coming in. Simple as that. I mean we discussed if I should call or send facebook messages, but after dealing with the issues with getting people to R.S.V.P. to the bridal shower, I am really done bothering with it.

My invitations went out about 9 weeks ago. The deadline for returning the RSVP has just passed. I need to get the final numbers to my caterer and venue in 7 days. We have called and sent emails. I have 7 people that have changed their minds three times so far. I still have about 30 people that have not responded. Many of them are saying that they still don't know for sure. It is 20 days from my wedding. Should I send out one last email saying I need to give the final numbers to the caterer, please let me know if you'll be attending. And then if they don't respond make them as a regret? I don't want to offend my friends and family but I don't want to waste money with the caterer and venue. I am hoping for any suggestions that will help.
