rsvp returned without names

Aleaj, on July 18, 2019 at 6:33 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

Hi everyone! So when I sent out my invites, I gave people two options to rsvp...by email or return the card by mail. I have gotten a lot back by mail, but two of them were returned without names! I now have no way to trace back who the card is from...the post office stamped the location at the bottom, but besides that I am lost! Any suggestions?!

Just leave it alone. Once your RSVP deadline passes and you start reaching out to people, they’ll tell you that they sent theirs and you can say “oh, I’m sorry! We received one without a name, it must have been yours!”

Unfortunately I think you will have to wait until everything comes back or you reach out to Nonresponders to find out. Unless those stamped locations can help you narrow it down.

I know it's late for you but protip for any body else worried about it, numbering the back of your RSVP cards is a lifesaver!

I numbered my RSVPs and made a list of all the guests with corresponding numbers just in case this happened. Like PP said just wait until your deadline and when you contact someone who sent it they'll tell you.

You will just have to wait until after the RSVP by date and then reach out to everyone you haven't heard from and eventually someone you call will say they returned it and you will know who it was.

A lot have people turn to putting numbers on the back of the RSVP cards and a corresponding number next to the persons name on their list or using an inadvisable marker to write their names on the back of the RSVP card so it they don't write their names you can use the little black light and figure it out.
