RSVP Return Envelope Question

Mrs. Grissett-Johnson, on January 26, 2014 at 10:10 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

My RSVP cards have been stamped and addressed (my return address), but I'm wondering do you also add the guests address or do they just write it in themselves?

We only put our address on them. I dont believe that i have ever received one with my info already on it. Only theirs.

I didn't add the guest address. I figured as long as mine was on there and correct, that 's all that mattered. I did however number the back of the cards in invisible ink in case someone forgot to write their name in. That didn't happen to me, but apparently it's not uncommon.

I have had people put their address on themselves but most did not. I kind of liked the element of surprise when the envelope was blank and I got to see who was sending in their cards. But that's just me Smiley smile

Good ideas! Never thought that some may not actually write their names on the cards. Another quick question. Did you write your guests address on the main envelope or did you type it up on a lable?

I made return labels with their address to put on the RSVP envelope in case anyone forgot to write their name on it.

Personally, it's best to hand write their name on the main envelope.

We are going to run the envelopes thru the printer for the main envelope rather than handwriting them. We did this for the save the dates and RSVP. We used the same font as in the invitations/ save the dates

Now that I know I don't need to write the addresses on the RSVP return envelopes I don't mind as much writing addresses on the main envelope. I thought typing it on a label would look "neater", but do also see the personal touch of writing it yourself.

Do not put the guests' return address on the RSVP envelopes. It may change or may have changed from the address on the invitation envelope.
