rsvp invites

What would be a good way to do rsvps if we’re using the wedding site? On the invites or the save the dates? Or just send out rsvps?

You definitely don’t send an rsvp with the save the date. Save the dates just tell people to mark their calendars because an invitation will be coming soon (save the dates are sent 6-8 months before the wedding, so waaay too soon to expect people to respond anyway).

You would request an rsvp when you send your invitations out, no later than 6 weeks before the wedding but no earlier than 3 months before

If you want people to RSVP online, then you'll include that with your invitation suite. A common way to do that is to include a "details" card with your invitation that tells people to visit your website to RSVP by a certain date. But you can definitely include your website link on your save the dates just so people can see more information about your wedding!

A save the date is simply letting your guests know that they’ll be invited to your wedding on such and such day and not to make any other plans. It’s not actually an invitation, thus, gives them no reason to RSVP. Your RSVP details should be included in your invitation.

Here's what we are doing, included on our invitation. We included our website link on our Save the Dates but will not activate the RSVP function until invites go out.

Hi Ally! Did you decide what to do with your RSVPs? Will you include the details with your invitations?

I included by website on our save the dates so that people can look and get more info if they want it, and then I will have a line on our invitations that says "please RSVP at www.ourwebsite.com

Here is our invitation. We sent save the dates a year in advance almost (more like 10 months) but saved all RSVP info for the invitation and just used our wedding website link. I also did a facebook group for everyone invited with brief instructions on how to RSVP just incase the wedding website wasn't clear enough. Smiley smile rsvp invites 2

I honestly feel like you have to do both or at least mail the invite out.
