Hi Everyone,

My fiance and I want to cut down on the amount of inbound mail we'll receive from RSVP cards to our wedding so we want to include the RSVP information on our wedding invitation like:

"Please RSVP by April 5, 2018 on ourwebsite.com"

Have you all done this before?

Again, we do not intent to purchase RSVP cards but we want to let our guests know they should RSVP online.

1) Etiquette-wise, Is this okay to do?

2) Have you done it before and can you share screen shots and examples?

3) If you haven't done it before, but you've seen it done, can you share screen shots and examples?

Thanks everyone!!

Yes, I did this for my April 7 wedding! A warning, though - I've already had 4 people that thought they had RSVP'd, but hadn't done it properly. Luckily, they're people we're close with (FH's parents, and 2 of my mom's best friends), so we found out. BUT that means that there are almost definitely other people that think they've responded but haven't. There's no way to find out until after the RSVP date, when you start making calls.

It just means a little extra legwork, but that's just an FYI.

This may be based on your crowd too - this would have been a problem for a large number of our guests because they are either too old or not tech savvy enough to figure out how to do this. I'm not kidding... I recently took 20 minutes walking my sister through finding my cousin's baby registry at Target - I still don't know how she got to some of the pages she did and she is only 36.

I think I read you did not have a date either, I would really recommend putting an RSVP by date!
