Do you put no children on the RSVP or just the details card, website and adult only reception on the invitation?

This thread is super helpful. We're currently trying to figure out the best way possible to word that our reception is adults only.

There are a bunch of different reasons of course for a no kids wedding. As for me, I would love to be able to invite all of our guests children, but there are A LOT (like 20+) and we just can't afford it. That is 1/3 of my current guest list.

We only mention in on our website. And I am doing what PP's have suggested and what you are doing and having # of seats reserved on the RSVP.

No backlash!! If we add the kids in we are looking at approximately 80 kids and thats just a no go and at the price we are paying for the reception approx..$70pp its a hell no.

Yes I did the number of seats reserved for you, added it to the website and on the invitation where it normally says reception to follow we instead put Adult Only Celebration.

I understand. $70 for a kid to maybe not even eat what they are served, I wouldn't take that chance either I guess. Our venue has an optional $9.00 kids chicken strips and mac and cheese while the adults eat $27-$30 chicken, steak and fish. Wow! $70.00 is crazy high! I bet it will be beautiful though Smiley smile

Totally get it. Perhaps there will actually be more kids at my wedding than we have accounted for. Lol. I've lost track of how many kids people have. But I understand...It's definitely a risk buying kids food that they may or may not even eat!

I got a lot for the money so it was worth it especially in the city on a holiday weekend..we have a nice spread for cocktail hour, a 3 entrée buffet, open bar with top shelf liquor, up lighting, photo booth, dessert, late night snack and a few other décor options it should be nonstop food and alcohol from 6-12
