I put my RSVP date for Sept 14. My wedding is Nov. 10. Is it too big of a gap??? I plan on sending the invitations latest by August 1st. Skipping the STDs altogether. I feel our guests have enough time to reply, but am I doing it right or should I have selected a date closer to the wedding?? I know...

I know them, they're irresponsible, they probably still won't even RSVP. what do you say change the date or leave or alone and panic about actual important things like not having a dress yet???

My wedding is Sept 16, and I had the RSVP date as Aug 16. Here's what I know so far:

60% of the guests did not RSVP by the date.

20% have told us via phone/text/Facebook/verbal whether they're coming or not.

We're still waiting on 20% who have not indicated in any way whether they're coming or not.

Luckily I have another week or so to hound people before I need to finalize the hall.

Side note: We did forget to send some invitations early enough, so that early RSVP date made it REALLY embarrassing to send late invites.
