RSVP DATE TOO SOON?

Hi WW! Our wedding is on March 17th 2018. I was wondering if an RSVP date of February 16th was too early? I need to have them back by March 1st because my caterer needs a final head count by then. EDIT: I'll be putting them in the mail January 4th or 5th. If that helps any.

4 weeks ahead is normal for an RSVP invite. I did mine 5 weeks because I have a large guest list and knew I'd have to track down a lot of non-respondents, which I did, and my caterer wanted a count by 3 weeks out, so I didn't want to have to worry about tracking down the RSVPs on an even tighter schedule. I still sent the invites out 8 weeks ahead of the wedding date.

Mines even sooner than that. Our invites have already gone out (destination for most guests). Our RSVP date is Feb 1. Our final head count is Feb 26.

We need our numbers a month before because that's when we have our walk through with our venue and vendors so we are making our RSVP 5 or 6 weeks before
