RSVP Date Help

HappilyEverConforti, on August 3, 2017 at 5:25 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 13

So our date is 11/11/17 and our final guest total is due 3 days before the wedding.

I don't want to be worrying about rsvp's (except for any unfortunate procrastinators) in the month of November AT ALL!!

What's the absolute EARLIEST I could have our RSVP date be?

A month before total count is due . This way you have time to follow up with those who haven't responded

10/7/17 here too! RSVP date of 9/1 because the venue wants numbers 30 days out (weird I know) so that gives us time to reach out to those we have not heard from. I mailed them out 7/21 Smiley smile

I don't think 10/9 is too soon. When does your venue need numbers?

We need to have our numbers in 2 weeks before (9/2) so gave an RSVP date of Aug 16 (1 month before the wedding, easy to remember) so we'd have 2 weeks to track down later responders. We mailed at the end of June. People usually mail their invitations 6-8 weeks before the wedding (if it's not destination).

Our RSVP date is 10/7 and final numbers are due 10/21 which gives a two weeks to track down any missing RSVPs.

Thank you for everyone's quick responses!!!!

i think i'm going to stick with my 10/9 date then.

mostly bc our florist needs a final flower # by 10/11 (she's a small business ran by herself and one other woman) so i was hoping to have a general idea of #'s.

I made my RSVP date two weeks before final numbers were due in order for me to follow-up with stragglers.

I sent out my invitations 9 weeks in advance of the wedding.

Hey date twin! A rule of thumb I heard was always 2 weeks before final number are due. Mine are due two weeks before so I'm making mine 10/14/17

I'm also 10/7! (Fun to see all these data points!). I sent invites out July 24th with a deadline of 9/7. We did not do STDs and it's OOT for half the guests.

ETA: be sure to factor in time to call all the non-responders!

30 days before wedding date is safe. Some caters (like mine) want final count by the 30 day mark.

Here are my dates. My wedding planner says don't give people more than 60-ish days to RSVP or they will put off and possibly forget to send back.

    Wedding: 11/18/17

    Headcount due: 10/18/17

    Sent STD: 7/15/17

    Sending invites: 8/15/17

    RSVP request: 9/30/17

I start making calls to people who haven't RSVPed: 10/8/17

Full on crazy bride calls begin: 10/12/17
