RSVP card delay!!! Why???

Mrs.D!!, on March 29, 2010 at 1:52 PM Posted in Planning 0 13

Why? why, why, why can't you people send them in? The deadline is 4/10/10, I sent out over 80 RSVP cards and only have 9 back. Why do you people wait until the last minute. I better not have to make tons of phone calls, I don't have time for that.

That would bug me too, I always send it back the same day I get the invite. I rarely need to deliberate more than 1 day whether or not I'm attending a wedding. it's not like a wedding invitation is a surprise, everyone on the guest list knows you're engaged already!

I know...... and I have the stamps on them, it isn't like it is costing them anything.

I have the same wedding date and RSVP date as you. I sent out 60 invites and I have only received 8 of them back. I'm getting frustrated with people too.

They still have almost 2 weeks. I wouldn't stress until April 10th, then start harassing. My deadline is the 10th as well and only 14 people have RSVP'd, I mentioned it to a couple of people at work and they said, well we have to get them to you by the 10th right? Which is true, I couldn't argue with that.

Agree, you gave them to April 10, so I would not start freaking out until then. People always wait until the last minute and probably won't mail them until just a couple of days before RSVP date. If you wanted them back earlier, then you should have put a different date.

@Mary - I am not saying I wanted them back earlier. I am saying I can't believe how many people wait until the last minute. Big difference!

People always wait until the last minute. I hate to tell you this, but you will probably have to call people. We had to.

Hopefully you will get a lot back next week and won't have to make calls or at least not too many. Try not to stress until then.
