I'm doing the same. On certain ones that we think may not get the hint, we are stating that we reserved a certain number of seats for them but ,I did put please right the name of every guest attending on ALL RSVP cards.

View Quoted Comment Yes I agree with this. I know it goes against traditional etiquette but I personally don’t see why it’s bad to put something about adults only on the invite. If someone is offended by that then they are too sensitive in my opinion.

View Quoted Comment Thank you for this. Even after they put that on the invites, a lot of family (many on my side too) were still calling and asking to bring their kids. It sucks that it had to be explained but it’s even worse that when it’s that clear, people still try to invite kids and get offended when they’re not able to.

View Quoted Comment This is so true. 1. It’s OKAY to have a night without the kids. 2. For the couple getting married, their children still add up when it comes to cost.
I’m excluding children due to my strict guest list. I’d rather invite our adult friends than “HAVE” to include 2nd cousins young children.
