Rose petal toss

I've been considering this. Following

I thought about doing this with dried mini petals.

I would probably use cones. And double them as chair decoration :-)

I am doing Rose petal cones, I love the pictures of them, and I think rice would hurt. lol.

Our venue prohibits rice and paper confetti so I've ordered dried flower petals. You can make really lovely comes out of paper doilies.

We kind of did this at our wedding. I didn't know it, but my mom bought 3 big bags of rose petals and got our wedding party and DH's family in on it too. After we walked out of our ceremony with everyone following us, they tossed them over us. We have beautiful pictures of it. (Wedding was at a botanical garden so we couldn't toss rice, confetti, etc.).

At kahlcara how did your mom distribute the petals in a cone or organza bag. Can you post s picture if possible

At future mrs matthew are you giving the cones to everyone or just people at end of the aisle

I am giving them to everyone. We are putting hanging ribbon on them to hang on the chairs.

Ive been debating this. I think we will do it. I just worried it might block out or faces in the pictures.

I think I'm going to do rainbow sprinkles if the venue will allow it!

@spring, she didn't put them in individual things. She had a big (plastic) bag of rose petals and my MIL had the other one, and people just grabbed handfuls. (This was just the people who were in the recessional--wedding party and parents). It was a beautiful effect though--the rose petals drifting over us in the picture. Here's a pic of them throwing rose petals over us, sorry its terrible quality -- I had to take a picture of my computer screen to do it because my photographer's site requires login info.

We used old sheet music to make the cones.

Do I need it for everyone or only the aisle people which I would like

I am doing mine for everyone.I think it is more fun that way. Etsy has some too. I also am only having 40 people though so that is why we are doing everyone.

Who are you getting your cones from. I have 122 people

FH has saved every petal from every rose he has ever given me. We are using those as the toss after the ceremony. I haven't thought about what to put them in yet.

I am thinking about doing real rose petals.. I wonder how much that would cost!
