The one hotel we were looking at in FL is giving a very high price even on the website its cheaper now stating that the rates fluctuate?. Arent blocks of rooms supposed to be cheaper ??

Block rooms are usually a bit cheaper but can still be expensive. It depends on what time of year and what area you are looking at.

As Cyndy mentioned, room blocks can be cheaper but they are highly dependent on what time of year and area/hotel you are booking in.
A room block will merely reserve rooms for your guests at an agreed-upon rate so that they do not get super expensive when your guests want to book their room.
Are you having a destination wedding, or do you have guests traveling to attend your wedding?

Thank you both for your reply . We are having our wedding in FL , for about 65 friends and families. We need rooms for everyone as this would be a destination wedding. When we asked for a block at one hotel she priced about 40 dollars higher than what it is now when we look . Blocks are usually cheaper. Just strange ..
