Rompers?

Kayla, on October 8, 2018 at 11:44 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 28
So, we're planning on having a rustic themed wedding at the most beautiful venue. I've already bought my dress and have a lot of things planned out already, but I'm stumped on the bridesmaids and groomswomen's outfits! I love these rompers and they look like they'd be flattering on a range of sizes. I've also looked on azazie and loved a lot of styled there. Has anyone had rompers for their girls?? I really need some feedback

These are cute! My MOH isn't a dress person so she's doing a jumpsuit and it looks amazing.

Imo there are very few women who actually look good in a romper. Remember that photos of models will be edited, and the few companies that don't edit photos are only going to put a romper on someone with the exact proportions needed

Personally I feel like rompers are super unflattering on a lot of people, myself included. But I wouldn't wear anything that short either. They're also a huge nuisance when you go to the toilet so I'd skip them just for that reason. If your ladies are all comfortable with them and you're going for a super casual look for the whole wedding then it should look fine

I hate them. Don’t you have to take it all off to pee?

Yes it's one of the biggest inconveniences of the romper. I have 2 an love wearing them but hate when I need to use the bathroom especially when you really have to go 😂😂

I would definitely talk to your girls if it's something they would like. I will tell you first hand as a big girl myself who wears rompers big thighs suck on flowy rompers. Your thighs make the material tuck between your legs which causes it to basically indent from about to belly button down to your crotch causing a butt tummy effect an it's super unflattering lol. It also is a hassle to pee as you have to take it all off. I somewhat agree with PP about big chested girls. I have large breast an the way it looks an fits depends on my bra. When I wear a sports type bra it's fine but when I wear my padded bra it causes allot of clevage to show since most rompers like this style only have a button that holds the top together I frequently find the button pops open an if your not paying attention your flashing your boobs to everyone. Now if your girls a smaller in size rompers would be more convenient except for the bathroom situation. Also have to think about the length a romper this short will most definitely show some butt cheek if they been over. Hope this helps some !! Either way I love my rompers an still wear them

I like to wear rompers at home in the summer. But otherwise, I am a hard no. I have a large chest and thighs and it involves a lot of adjusting to keep things in check. A jumper with full pants might be better, though still inconvenient for using the bathroom.

I would give the bridesmaids multiple options and if they choose the romper, go for it.

Rompers are NOT flattering on most women. I’d be leery of having that for your ladies to wear.

The romper is just one option. I just found this one and thought it was pretty. I did mention I found options for dresses on azazie. Thank you guys very much for the feedback😊😊

Make sure all your girls would be comfortable in a romper. I wouldn’t wear one under any circumstance. They fit my torso awkwardly, they highlight my middle which I do NOT want highlighted, those ones in particular look quite short, and most of all, I do NOT want to get undressed to pee!! Honestly if a bride was set on rompers, I’d probably drop out of a wedding. If all your girls happen to be into them, that’s one thing, but definitely make sure first!!!

I like to wear rompers, but I am not sure I would be comfortable wearing one as a bridesmaid because of all the photos and all the attention as you walk down the aisle.

I personally love rompers and I think this one is super cute. I agree with PPs comments that it is annoying when you have to use the bathroom, but I wear rompers all of the time knowing that this will happen and don’t let it bother me. You know your girls the best! If they’re all comfortable wearing a romper, I think this is super cute. I’m not sure exactly what you want with your rustic theme, but a romper like this with cowboy boots would be very cute. I also love this red color. Just talk to your girls and get their opinions. I think it would be cute, but not worth the drama if your wholenparty doesn’t agree!

Rompers do not look good on everyone. I'd be pretty mad if I was asked to wear a romper since I look awful in them. I'd reconsider that idea and just have them wear a dress.

We went to a wedding recently where the girls wore floral rompers. They all looked so cute and they were all comfortable, except for taking them on/off to go to the bathroom. They had zippers in the back they couldn't reach (had to unzip each other) and some of the larger chested girls zippers wouldn't stay zipped!

I am totally team romper and i think its a great idea! My suggestion is to buy one for yourself and wear it for a whole day to work and see if you are comfortable.

I'm 5'9 and I can tell you 99.999% of the time rompers are too short. Even the models in them, I think they're waaaaayyy too short. I personally would never feel comfortable in one.
